Close Call Leads to Police Search for Vehicle and Driver

Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Police Department is looking for information on the driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 after a close call incident involving another person.
On January 24, 2026, the victim alleged a truck came up and pinned them to their vehicle in the 1300-block of Yates Street around 9:30 p.m. The victim said the person inside yelled profanities before driving away.
Officers have reviewed surveillance footage from the scene and continue to seek information on the vehicle’s owner and the driver.
The truck’s description is:
- Dark grey Dodge Ram 1500
- Crew cab
- Chrome front and rear bumpers
- Black rims
- Displaying "N" on the back of truck
- Silver coloured headache rack
- Aluminum toolbox in bed of truck
- White Browning Deer Head sticker on centre of rear window
The victim stated they were not injured and declined support from BC Emergency Health Services.
