FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 13, 2026 File: 2026-6172 Victoria, B.C. – On February 13, 2026, at 3:43 a.m., VicPD accompanied the Victoria Fire Department to the intersection of Quadra Street and Johnson Street in response to a report of numerous explosions followed by fire. First responders arrived at the scene and located a garbage can and a hydro pole that had been set on fire. The fire caused a power outage in the 800 block of Johnson Street, and traffic was closed. Power has now been restored, and traffic has reopened. No one was injured in this incident. This file is being considered suspicious and remains under investigation. Investigators are continuing to gather additional evidence relating to this investigation.
