VicPD Investigates Suspicious Fire

On April 3, 2026, at 6:05 a.m., Victoria Police were requested by the Victoria Fire Department to attend the area of Bridge Street at Bay Steet in response to a fire near GFL Environmental. Police attended to conduct traffic control. This fire has been deemed suspicious. The VicPD Forensic Identification Section was called out to document the scene.  

Investigators are continuing to gather additional evidence relating to this investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the E-Comm non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 ext. 1, and reference file number 2026-13389.
