Expect Road Closures for the Annual Battle of the Atlantic Parade and Service on Sunday

Victoria, B.C. – The Annual Battle of the Atlantic Parade and Service will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2026. The event recognizes the sacrifice of the Canadian Navy in the Atlantic during the Second World War.
This year’s event will include Navy and government officials, including members of the Royal Canadian Navy from CFB Esquimalt, as well as sailors and cadets.
The parade begins at 10:25 a.m. at the Legislature Grounds; participants march onto Belleville Street and proceed toward the Cenotaph at Belleville and Government streets. Following the remembrance service, the parade will continue south on Government Street and conclude near Superior Street.
VicPD officers will be on site to manage traffic during the event. Road closures are expected to begin at 10:00 a.m. and remain in place until 12:00 p.m.
