Suspect Sought In James Bay Spitting Assault

Date: Thursday June 9, 2022File: 22-2456Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are asking for your help as we work to identify a suspect after a man was assaulted by being spat upon at a James Bay business.Just after noon, on January 20th, 2022, officers were called for a report that an employee was working at a business in the 400-block of Simcoe Street when he was confronted by a man who was a customer there. Without warning, the man lowered his mask, spat on the employee and left.The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 60 to 65-years-old, standing approximately five feet eight inches tall, with a medium build. The man has a grey beard and at the time of the incident wore black framed glasses, a grey hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and black shoes. A photograph of the suspect is below.Do you recognize this man?
