ALERT | Local Businesses Warned As Thief Targets Staff Rooms

File: 19-53470Victoria, BC - Officers are warning local business owners and staff members to be on alert after receiving multiple reports of a thief targeting valuables left in staff rooms.In the most recent file, an officer attended a business in the 1400-block of Blanshard Street on December 11th. The manager reported that just after 4 a.m. a suspect man was captured on surveillance video following a person making a delivery into the business. The suspect man then proceeded to the staffing area where several items including cash, wallets and a mobile phone were stolen.The suspect is described as a Caucasian man between forty to fifty years of age. He was wearing a dark leather coat, blue jeans, a dark toque and had a large backpack.
