Victoria, BC – One man is in custody after sharp-eyed citizens spotted him climbing the exterior of a building, three stories up.
Officers were called to the 1000-block of Douglas Street just after 8 a.m. when office workers spotted a man climbing a nearby building. The man was on the exterior of the third floor. Once officers arrived on scene, the man, alerted to the officers’ presence, climbed down to the second floor and entered a suite, claiming he lived there. Unfortunately for him, one of our officers was already in the suite with the suite’s sole resident, waiting to arrest the man when he entered.
The man, who is known to police, was taken into custody without further incident. Charges are pending as our investigation continues.
