Charges Laid In Weekend Stabbing

Date: Tuesday, April 2, 2024 File: 24-11002 Victoria, B.C. – One person has been charged with Aggravated Assault following a stabbing over weekend. On Sunday, March 31, at approximately 4:00 a.m. VicPD officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 700-Block of Pandora Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene within minutes to find one deceased male, and a second victim, who was transported to hospital with life-altering injuries. Robert Travers was taken into custody at the scene and has now been charged with one count of Aggravated Assault against the second victim.   The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the suspected homicide, which shut down the 700-Block of Pandora Avenue for most of the day on March 31.  As this file is now before the courts and remains under investigation, further details cannot be shared at this time.
