Driver, Information Sought After Cyclist Struck By Vehicle

Date: Wednesday, November 24, 2021File: 21-47026Victoria, BC – VicPD Traffic officers are seeking a driver and information after a cyclist was struck by a vehicle this morning. The driver left the scene before police arrived.Shortly after 7:45 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a report that a cyclist was struck by a vehicle in the area of Topaz Avenue and Graham Street. The cyclist was travelling southbound on Graham Street, crossing Topaz Avenue, when a driver travelling westbound on Topaz Avenue struck the cyclist. The man riding the bicycle suffered non-life-threatening injuries requiring treatment in hospital. The driver of the vehicle left the scene of the incident without waiting for police.BC Emergency Health Services paramedics and Victoria Fire Department firefighters attended and provided medical aid to the cyclist. The man was transported to hospital for treatment.VicPD Traffic officers are continuing the investigation and are asking anyone with information or video of the incident to contact police. The driver and vehicle involved in this incident have not been identified. The vehicle is described a small grey car, possibly a hatchback.
