Fatal Vehicle Fire In Beacon Hill Park Under Investigation

Date: Thursday, March 4, 2021File: 21-8459Victoria, BC – Detectives with VicPD’s Major Crime Unit (MCU) are investigating a fatal vehicle fire in Beacon Hill Park this morning.Shortly after 8 a.m. this morning Patrol officers were called to Beacon Hill Park where the Victoria Fire Department was on scene extinguishing a vehicle fire. One person has died.MCU detectives and officers with VicPD’s Forensic Identification Services are on scene and are continuing the investigation.This file is in the early stages of the investigation. We will provide further updates as soon as we are able.
