Help Us Recover B.C. Special Olympic Athlete’s Stolen Scooter

Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2020File: 20-38123Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are asking for your help as we work to recover a stolen scooter belonging to a B.C. Special Olympics athlete.At approximately 4 p.m. on September 21st, the scooter was stolen from outside of Hillside Mall in the 1600-block of Hillside Avenue.The scooter is described as a black, two-wheeled “FLJ” brand electric scooter, with off-road tires and a light on the front fender. The serial number on the scooter is FLJ-HBC0287 and is located on the battery. There are other identifying numbers written on the front tire.Photographs of the scooter and identifying features are below.The owner of the scooter is a 54-year-old man with a disability who depends on the scooter for transportation.Patrol officers are working to reunite the scooter with its owner.If you have information about where this scooter may be please call our non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654 and select option 1 for our Report Desk.
