Investigators Seek Witnesses In Centennial Square Stabbing

File: 20-33515Victoria, BC – Investigators are asking for witnesses and information after a stabbing in Centennial Square early this morning.Shortly after 1:30 am on August 22nd, Patrol officers were in the area of Centennial Square when they noticed a man in medical distress walking in the roadway in the 1500-block of Douglas Street. Officers spoke with the man and quickly learned that he had been the victim of a stabbing. The man was suffering from potentially life-threatening-injuries.Officers provided medical aid to the man until BC Emergency Health Services paramedics attended and transported him to hospital. His injuries are now considered non-life-threatening.Officers determined that the stabbing occurred in Centennial Square. VicPD’s Forensic Identification Services attended the scene and are continuing the investigation.No arrests have been made.
