One Arrested After Assault With Weapon, Uttering Threats

Date: Monday, December 21, 2020File: 20-50047Victoria, BC – Patrol officers arrested a man this morning after he threatened a delivery driver with a weapon.Shortly after 8:30 a.m. this morning, Patrol officers were called to a convenience store in the 2600-block of Quadra for a report that man threatened a delivery driver with a large metal rod. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect based on information provided by witnesses. The suspect refused to comply with the officers’ direction, and the officers deployed a bean bag shotgun to arrest the suspect.The suspect was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by BC Emergency Health Services paramedics.The suspect will face recommended charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats.This file remains under investigation.
