One in Custody After Search Warrant Nets Drugs and Weapons

Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are recommending several drug charges after a search warrant was executed last week.

Members of our Strike Force Section as well as the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800-block of Queens Avenue on October 21st.  Officers arrested a man and a woman and subsequently located ½ a kilogram of methamphetamine, 42.5 grams of cocaine, two grams of heroin, and four litres of Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) and several weapons. 

The woman was later released with no charges and six charges are being recommended against a 31-year-old Victoria man who is known to police.

Police are recommending:

  •         Three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to S. 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;

  •         Possession of Controlled Substance, contrary to S. 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and

  •         Two counts of Possession contrary to Order, contrary to S. 117.01(1)(4) Criminal Code of Canada
