Over 80 Calls for Service Keeps Officers Busy

Victoria BC - Last night, between 5:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. we received 80 calls for service.

On St Patrick’s day of 2018, which was a Saturday, we received 82 calls for service.

As the dayshift members started, there were 13 calls waiting to be dispatched.

A breakdown of the calls are below:

 

  • Fight: 11 calls

  • Unwanted person: 9 calls

  • Assist other agency: 7 calls

  • Check wellbeing: 6 calls

  • Other Criminal Code: 5 calls

  • Abandoned 911: 4 calls

  • Property: 3 calls

  • Theft: 3 calls

  • Robbery: 3 calls

  • Traffic incident: 3 calls

  • Weapon: 2 calls

  • Domestic: 2 calls

  • Assault: 2 calls

  • Mental Health: 2 calls

  • Drugs: 1 call

  • Theft of Vehicle: 1 call

  • Mischief: 1 call

  • Fraud: 1 call

  • Missing Person: 1 call

  • Motor Vehicle Incident: 1 call

  • Disturbance: 1 call

  • Suspicious Circumstance: 1 call

  • Animal: 1 call

  • Bylaw: 2 call

  • Breach of conditions: 1 call

  • Overdose: 1 call

  • Break and enter: 1 call

  • False Alarm: 1 call
