Owner Sought After Officers Corral Snake

Date: Wednesday, July 7, 2021File: 21-26977Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are seeking a reptile’s owner after corralling a large snake in Victoria last night.Shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6th, Patrol officers were called to a multi-unit residential building in the 700-block of Vancouver Street for a report of a large snake found on a ground floor patio. Officers attended and worked with the person who reported the incident to corral the approximately four-foot-long snake into a large cardboard box. Officers then transported the snake to Victoria Animal Control Services where it remains.A photograph of the snake is available below. This file remains under investigation.If this is your snake, please call Victoria Animal Control Services at 250-414-0233.
