Suspect Sought After Assault Leaves Man With Life-Altering Injuries

Date: Thursday, September 3, 2020File: 20-33486Victoria, BC – Investigators are seeking a suspect and additional witnesses after a downtown assault left a man with life-altering injuries.Patrol officers were called to the area of Pandora Avenue and Quadra Street just after 8:30 p.m. on August 21st, 2020 for a report that a man had been assaulted. When officers arrived they discovered the victim laying in the bike lane on the northeast corner of Pandora Avenue at Quadra Street. The man was suffering from injuries and was unable to tell officers what had occurred. A nearby witness reported that the victim had been blindsided by an attacker and left laying in the bike lane. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment where it was determined that he has suffered non-life-threatening, but life-altering injuries.The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, who was approximately 50 years old. He had shoulder-length grey hair, and was wearing a long sleeve grey shirt.Investigators are asking for witnesses to come forward with information.
