Suspect, Witnesses Sought In BC Transit Assault

Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2021File: 21-4128Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are asking for your assistance in identifying a suspect and gathering information from witnesses after an assault on a youth on a BC Transit bus.On Saturday, January 30th, Patrol officers received a report that an unknown man assaulted a girl on a BC Transit bus. The youth was not injured as a result of the incident.The suspect is described as an approximately 50-year-old Caucasian man with a heavy build and long white hair. The suspect wore a collared shirt and a toque.The incident occurred on September 27th, 2019 between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the number 15 bus. The incident was not reported to police until January 30th, 2021.A witness was reported to have intervened in the incident, putting themselves in between the suspect and the youth. Investigators would also like to speak with this witness.This file remains under investigation.
