Temporary CCTV Cameras to be Deployed for Island Farms Santa Parade

Victoria, BC –As with previous events, we will be deploying temporary cameras in support of our operations to ensure public safety during this year’s Island Farms Santa Parade this Saturday, November 30th.As always, we are deploying these temporarily placed, monitored cameras in public spaces in accordance with B.C. and national privacy legislation. The cameras are going up in the next two days and will be taken down a short time after the event. Temporary signs will also be posted to ensure that those in the area are aware.If you have questions or concerns about our temporary CCTV camera deployment, please email [email protected]There will be traffic disruptions in the downtown core on Saturday starting at 3:00 p.m. Follow @VicPDCanada on Twitter for updated road closures.
