Tires Slashed in Oaklands

Monday, October 21, 2019File #: 2019-46166Victoria, BC – Officers are investigating after receiving multiple reports of tire slashings in the Oaklands neighbourhood of Victoria.Several residents awoke this morning to find their vehicle tires slashed.  It is believed that the damage occurred overnight in an area that includes Shakespeare Street, Scott Street, Victor Street, Lionel Street, Haultain Street, Kings Road and others.  While VicPD has received reports that more than 30 vehicles have had their tires damaged, investigators believe that there could be additional vehicles affected.Officers are asking for the public’s assistance from anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area during the overnight hours, or who might have dash cam or security camera footage.If you have information that could assist this investigation, please call our non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654 or Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
