VicPD Seeks Witnesses After Assault in Beacon Hill Park

Victoria, B.C. – Investigators are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect and locate witnesses following an assault near the duck pond in Beacon Hill Park on Sunday afternoon. 

The Victoria Police Department (VicPD) General Investigative Section is investigating the assault, which occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. on September 27, 2026, near the duck pond in Beacon Hill Park, across from the petting zoo.

Investigators are asking anyone with information related to the incident to come forward. 

The suspect is described as: 

• Tan-skinned male, believed to be in his late 40s 
• Approximately 5'11" to 6' tall with a large build 
• Balding with grey hair 
• Wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and a silver chain 
• Tattoos on the right side of his neck and right cheek
