VicPD Investigation Leads to Drugs, Weapons, Cash Seizure

Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Police Department has seized, an estimated street value, up to $150-thousand in fentanyl and methamphetamine, plus a loaded firearm and other items, as part of an investigation under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. 

On May 27, 2026, VicPD’s Strike Force Unit arrested a man in the 500-block of Dunedin Street for possession of drugs, namely fentanyl and methamphetamine, a loaded firearm, and cash.  

On May 28, 2026, the Strike Force team applied for and received a warrant to search a property in the 2400-block of Eastdowne Road as part of the ongoing investigation. During the execution of the search, a woman was taken into custody by members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team. A search of the residence by members of VicPD Strike Force led to the seizure of more fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as cocaine, a replica firearm, and bulletproof vest. 

Items seized by VicPD on May 27 and 28, 2026 include fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, buffing agent, loaded firearm, replica firearm, bulletproof vest, and cash.

The man who was arrested on Dunedin Street is in custody, facing several Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substance Act charges. The woman who was taken into custody from the property on Eastdowne Road has been released with charges being recommended.
