VicPD Receives Warrant for Arrest Following Armed Robbery Reports, Officers Seek Information

Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Police Department’s Major Crime Unit has received a warrant for the arrest of a man who’s wanted, following reports of armed robberies at two gas stations in Victoria. 

Andrew Anthony CHARLES is facing two counts of Robbery, one count of Disguise with Intent, and one count of Use of an Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence.  

Police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to avoid approaching CHARLES – and instead contact the E-Comm non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 ext. 1, and reference file number 26-13855 or dial 9-1-1. 

VicPD is seeking the whereabouts of 42-year-old Andrew Anthony CHARLES on a warrant for his arrest.

On April 6, 2026 police were called to a gas station in the 3000 block of Shelbourne Street around 9:15 p.m. for a report of a man who pointed a gun at a staff member and demanded money.  

Then around 9:40 p.m., police received another report of a robbery from a gas station in the 1900 block of Oak Bay Avenue. There were no reports of physical injuries in either case. 

CHARLES has been accused in relation to these matters.
