VicPD Seeking Video Footage Regarding Arson Investigation

Victoria, B.C. – VicPD Major Crime Unit detectives are asking for the public's assistance in relation to an investigation involving a string of arsons in Victoria's downtown core. 

Investigators are looking for dashcam recordings that may have captured activity in the 1200 block of Johnson Street on April 20, 2026, between 4:30 and 5:30 a.m. In addition, investigators would like to speak with you if you saw suspicious activity in this area on this date and during this time. Any footage captured on vehicle-mounted dashcams and any witness observations during this timeframe could be vital to the investigation.
