At approximately 2:30 p.m. on December 24, the owner of a stolen vehicle contacted VicPD to report seeing his stolen vehicle being driven near Store Street and Herald Street. The events that followed are summarized below:
At 3:11 p.m. the stolen vehicle was spotted travelling westbound in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue, and moments later, westbound on Quadra Street as it left the area.
Shortly afterward, the stolen vehicle was located by police stationary at Spruce Street and Nanaimo Street. The driver made contact with a police vehicle at that location which caused one of the wheels to dislodge. The truck was subsequently observed by multiple witnesses as it fled the scene on three wheels.
The vehicle was later abandoned and recovered in the 3100-block of Harriet Street in Saanich.
