Investigators Ask For Public’s Assistance In Identifying Person Of Interest From Suspicious Incident Involving 3-Year-Old Child

Date: Friday, March 10, 2023File: 23-7663 Victoria, BC –  On March 1 just after 3:00 p.m. a father was entering a retail outlet in the 1600-block of Hillside Avenue with his 3-year-old daughter when they were approached by a suspicious man. The man asked the father if he wanted to sell his child and offered to give him money. The father felt threatened by the man and reported the incident to VicPD that evening. The suspicious man is described as Caucasian, in his 70’s, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall with a heavy build, balding with a shortly-clipped haircut and possibly wearing glasses.If you were in the area at the time and have information about this incident or know this individual please call the VicPD Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
