Victoria, B.C. – VicPD officers are investigating after an incident last Thursday evening left one man with serious injuries.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on January 30, VicPD responded to an abandoned 911 call from the 3100-block of Douglas Street. The caller reported a physical altercation occurring between a store manager and an unknown male, then disconnected the call. Officers arrived on scene and quickly located and arrested the male suspect in the parking lot.
The manager reported informing the suspect that the store was closing, at which point the suspect refused to leave. A struggle ensued, the suspect exited the property, and the manager returned to work.
The manager was later transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services, where it was determined he had sustained serious injuries.
This incident is still under investigation and no further details are available at this time.
