Date: Friday, February 28, 2025 Files: 25-4456, 25-4900 Victoria, B.C. – Expect road closures and traffic delays during The Wounded Warrior Run on Sunday, March 2, and The 7th Biennial Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial on Monday, March 3. On Sunday, March 2, The Wounded Warrior Run BC 2025 features several participants who are running the length of Vancouver Island in seven days. VicPD, Saanich PD, West Shore RCMP and Military Police will jointly escort the run as it moves from View Royal, Saanich, Esquimalt, and into Victoria. Expect traffic disruptions and rolling road closures starting from approximately 1:45 p.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m., from the View Royal Fire Hall located at 333 Old Island Highway, along the Tillicum Bridge, to The BC Afghanistan Memorial at Courtney Street and Quadra Street, to its final destination at Market Square. Maps of the routes are below:

 The 7th Biennial BC Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial will take place on Monday, March 3. The event will feature about 500 uniformed firefighters and fire vehicles in a parade from the Coho Ferry Terminal to the Legislative Grounds. Expect traffic disruptions and rolling road closures in the area starting from approximately 11:00 a.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m.A map of the route is below:
