Single Vehicle Crash That Sent Four To Hospital Under Investigation

Date: Sunday, June 6th, 2021File: 21-22266Victoria, BC – VicPD Traffic officers, including collision investigators, continue to investigate a single-vehicle crash that sent four  people to hospital early this morning.Officers were called to the intersection of Fisgard and Blanshard streets just after 12:10 a.m. this morning for a report that a vehicle had crashed into a building. B.C. Emergency Health Services paramedics and Victoria Fire Department firefighters were on scene working to extract and stabilize the vehicle occupants. Of the five people in the vehicle at the time of the crash, four were transported to hospital.Two of the occupants suffered potentially life-altering injuries in the collision and remain in hospital. The other occupants who were transported to hospital suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated and released.Two buildings were damaged in the crash.The driver of the vehicle was arrested and transported to cells.
