Victoria, B.C. – As part of VicPD’s continued efforts to combat drug trafficking in the community, Strike Force conducted a three-day investigation this week, which led to the arrest of a drug trafficker known to operate across Vancouver Island.

Throughout the investigation, Strike Force utilized covert tactics to observe the suspect trafficking drugs on multiple occasions in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue and in various local supportive housing facilities. A search warrant was obtained and executed with the assistance of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team at two of the suspect’s residences, in the 10-block of Menzies Street and the 1400-block of Fort Street.

“Building off the success of the Pandora and Ellice Safety Plan, we remain focused on identifying the criminals who are preying on the most vulnerable people in our community, and taking action to combat these crimes,” said Chief Del Manak. “We are committed to disrupting criminal networks, and I am proud of the work that Strike Force, and all of our officers, are doing to protect the safety and well-being of everyone in our community.”

The suspect was arrested inside one of the residences, and investigators seized the following:

  • 150 Hydromorphone pills

  • 236 grams of Crack Cocaine

  • 176 grams of Fentanyl

  • 480 packs of contraband cigarettes

The estimated street value of the seized Crack Cocaine and Fentanyl is approximately $31,500 CAD.
