Suspicious Fire Under Investigation

Date: Friday, June 16, 2023 File: 23-21571  Victoria, BC – VicPD Major Crime Unit (MCU) detectives are investigating a suspicious fire that caused extensive damage to a restaurant early this morning. Officers and the Victoria Fire Department were called to the restaurant at the intersection of Douglas Street and Burnside Road just after 3 a.m. this morning.  The fire remains under investigation. There are no known injuries at this time.  If you have video of the incident or information about the fire and have yet to speak with an investigator, please call the VicPD Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
