VicPD Investigating Random Stabbing On Johnson Street

Date: Wednesday, April 9, 2025 File: 25-12534 Victoria, B.C. – Officers are alerting the public and asking any potential witnesses to come forward after a man was stabbed by an unknown female in the 700-block of Johnson Street yesterday. At approximately 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, VicPD responded to a call from BC Emergency Health Services regarding a man found with a stab wound in a parkade in the 1800-block of Blanshard Street. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital. Through the ongoing investigation, officers believe the stabbing was a random assault, which occurred behind the Odeon theater in the 700-block of Johnson Street around noon the previous day.The female suspect remains at large, and officers are working to identify her. She is described as a Caucasian female in her early twenties, approximately five-feet, four-inches tall, wearing a pink hair wrap and black clothing. Given the random nature of the assault, police are advising the public to exercise caution in the area. Police are looking to speak to any potential witnesses and are asking anyone who can aid in identifying the suspect to come forward.
