VicPD Investigating Suspected Impaired Hit And Run

Date: Tuesday, February 11, 2025 File: 25-4664Victoria, B.C. – Investigators are seeking witnesses and video footage following a hit and run collision and a suspected impaired driver early Saturday morning.  Just after 4:00 a.m. on February 8, VicPD received a report that a driver struck a parked van in the 2800-block of Graham Street, continued to drive northbound on Graham Street without stopping at the scene, turned right, and headed eastbound on Topaz Avenue.  While investigating the hit and run, VicPD officers received a separate report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 1200-block of Topaz Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a lone occupant inside the vehicle. The vehicle had significant damage to the driver’s door, its right front and rear tires were shredded with damaged rims, and the front bumper had been sheared off. The vehicle was towed and the male driver was detained for an impaired driving investigation.  Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed these incidents or has video footage, including dashcam or doorbell video of the area around the time of the incidents, to call the E-Comm Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 and reference file number 25-4664.
