VIIMCU Investigating Suspected Homicide In Gorge Rd Area

Date: Monday, April 28, 2025 VicPD File: 25-14938VIIMCU File: 25-7776 Victoria, B.C. – The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) is investigating a suspected homicide that took place over the weekend. On Saturday, April 26 at approximately 10:00 a.m., VicPD received calls concerning a residential unit in the 200-block of Gorge Road East that prompted the attendance of the Victoria Fire Department to and discovery of a deceased male. Officers classified the incident as a suspicious death. Forensic Investigation Services (FIS) and Major Crimes investigators secured the scene and gathered evidence until VIIMCU assumed jurisdiction of the file. This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public. The investigation is ongoing, and further details cannot be shared at this time.
