Witnesses Sought After Woman Attacked By Three Men

Date: Tuesday, March 30, 2021File: 21-11775Victoria, BC – Investigators are seeking witnesses after a woman was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being attacked by three men on March 27th.Patrol officers were called to the area near the intersection of Vancouver Street and Pandora Avenue for a report of an assault just before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 27th. When they arrived they located a woman with non-life-threatening injuries.The woman reported that the she had been driving her vehicle on Johnson Street near Vancouver Avenue when three men crossed in front of her vehicle, despite the light being green. She stopped to avoid a collision and honked her horn. The men then began to kick and spit on her vehicle. One of the men grabbed a nearby traffic pylon and began striking the woman’s vehicle, damaging it. The men then began to walk away and the woman parked her car nearby in the 1400-block of Vancouver Street to survey the damage and ask them men why they had attacked her vehicle. The men then attacked the woman.The woman reported being kicked and punched several times and being struck with the traffic pylon during the attack. She received non-life-threatening injuries. The men fled at the sound of approaching sirens.Nearby witnesses to the assault intervened and stayed with the woman until officers arrived. The woman was transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Service paramedics.
