VicPD Seek Public Information in Whereabouts of Wanted Person

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Police Department is asking for tips related to the whereabouts of 36-year-old Joel REED, who is Unlawfully at Large and wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for arrest.  

REED left a Community Residential Facility in Victoria without authorization during the evening of September 26, 2026. He is described as 5’10” tall, 198 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He has several tattoos – including praying hands/barbed wire on the right side of the neck, a rose flower on the left side of the neck, and a bird and sun on the right hand.

Anyone who sees REED should call 911; do not approach him.   

REED is serving a federal sentence of three years, eleven months, and nine days for extortion, break and enter, and weapon offences. His previous convictions include uttering threats, property-related offences, breaches of trust, and assault with a weapon.
