Road Closures on Sunday for Annual Terry Fox Run - Expect Delays

Victoria, B.C. – Expect road closures and traffic disruptions on Sunday, September 20, as participants walk, run and roll in Victoria’s Terry Fox Run.
Participants will follow a route along the Dallas Road waterfront, travelling from Douglas Street to Memorial Crescent and returning to the starting point.
The following traffic and parking restrictions will be in place:
- Douglas Street east of Mile 0 will be closed to vehicular traffic from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Dallas Road from Douglas Street to Memorial Crescent will be closed to vehicular traffic from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Dallas Road (Douglas Street to Memorial Crescent) from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. will be closed to street parking.
Parking for participants and spectators will be available at the All-Weather field at the south end of Beacon Hill Park.

Residents in the James Bay and Fairfield neighbourhoods should expect delays entering and leaving the area during the event on Sunday. Motorists are encouraged to arrive early, allow extra travel time, and consider walking, cycling, or taking BC Transit where possible.
VicPD officers and Special Duty members will be on site throughout the event to help manage traffic, support participant safety, maintain public safety, and ensure access for emergency vehicles.
We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable day at the event. If you become separated from your family or friends, or if you find someone who needs help, please notify a VicPD officer or visit one of the designated meeting points:
- Douglas Street and Dallas Road
- Cook Street and Dallas Road
- Memorial Crescent and Dallas Road
