VicPD Seeks Video Footage, Witnesses Following Hit and Run

Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Police Department is seeking witnesses and video images, following a report of a hit and run incident with injuries. 

Police responded to the collision in the 1000 block of Caledonia Avenue on July 14, 2026, at approximately 12:20 p.m. Officers have learned a cyclist was travelling west on Caledonia Avenue and was struck by a dark coloured SUV. The driver, who's described as male, did not remain on scene and was last seen travelling west on Caledonia Avenue.  

The cyclist was transported to hospital due to non-life threatening injuries.  

VicPD officers continue to gather additional evidence relating to this investigation. Anyone with information or dash cam footage who has not yet spoken with investigators is asked to contact the E-Comm non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 ext. 1, and reference file number 26-29159.
