Suspect Charged After Multiple Vehicles Damaged in Downtown Parkade

Victoria, B.C. – A suspect is facing multiple Criminal Code charges after numerous vehicles were damaged in a residential parkade.

On July 11, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Victoria Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the 1200 block of Yates Street following reports of a person damaging vehicles with a hammer. The suspect was located nearby and arrested.

One person has been charged with one count of Break and Enter, one count of Theft Under $5,000, one count of Possession of Stolen Property, one count of Breach of Probation, and eleven counts of Mischief. The suspect appeared at a bail hearing on Sunday, July 12, 2026, was remanded in custody, and is scheduled to appear in court again on July 21, 2026.
